Anyone of you have both 3 and 1 series or have moved from 3 to 1? Currently my ride is an aging E46 325, wonder if it worth to move to 120 (maybe second hand?)
I like the compactness of the 1.

I don't have a 3 series but I've driven friends' E46 325 before. I have a 120i. It all depends on what u want, if it's just the compactness you are looking for, then it's fine to move to a 120i.
Personally, I would not downgrade from a 2.5lit engine with higher hp to a 2.0lit engine. The feel when driving & expectations of performance would be compromised. That's my opinion.

If straightline accelaration power is not an absolute utmost priority, i believe the 120i would be a fun car to drive. It's a like the "thingy" between a 3 series and a mini cooper. Ever considered the 130i? :D

Agree with pion. My trixie is nippy & damn syiok to drive :)
yep bmwe46, i got both the E90 325 and E81 120. both cars hv its own characteristics...the 2-door 120 is fun too.
