I agree. Plus save as much as you can, coz the 10 year economic cycle is coming up in next 2 years. Best time to buy stocks and property at cheap prices

My little bird told me there won't be much changes come August, but for luxury cars (I mean Porsche, Ferraris, Cayennes...) there will some serious reduction in prices. :)

Yar lar, I don't think the e90 325 is worth it. Looks so ugly, and it's so slow. What's the point?

Yeah, reason being simply that the current prices are unreal but I think there are more to it....who are the importers for such cars?!
There could be a surprise or two in this new automotive policy. It could be a pleasant surprise but until the fat lady sings, nothing is 100% confirmed yet.

I heard a different story. A close relative told me come July/August, car prices will go UP. This came from insiders working in places such as Honda, Naza, etc. So I pressume it's quite reliable.

oh well, are car prices subject to change (go up/down) even if i took the car after the August 'surprise', or the price would stay as it when i book the car b4 August?
As long as they have stock, i believe you can still buy at the old price unless its import upon request basis coz the duties supposed to be paid for the current cars in stock....

My contacts in AB told me price is likely to drop (mathematically) once the new tariff is in place. It can drop up to RM50K if more local contents are used and CKD arrangement. Having said that, of course this is subject to BMW Malaysia's pricing strategy.
I really hope BMW Malaysia will wake up to their senses on pricing. Too high of a premium pricing may just make the customers look elsewhere, especially when prices now is touching that of a good landed property prices.

my apologies for diggin this old thread up, but dont you think opting for an E60 523i would be better off? Whats another 30ish grand when you can fork out more than 300k for a car?

Why bother? Get a secondhand e39 m5 instead! At least you won't get bored 2 days after buying it!

zagato,
well thats true, but then again, its used and old, by the time we buy it now, we'll be picking up all the wear and tears and worst of it would be the road tax! gosh...
anyway, my friend is interested in the E39 M5... would you mind PMing me on details, pics and whereabouts the car?
Johnny,
Between an E39 540i and M5, go for the latter. :nyehehe:
