Just sharing some pics for viewing pleasure, the Camry you see is not the one we get in M'sia though:

Here my verdict
STYLE and DESIGN - Honda - For its modern and advance look ( some similarity to BMW)
Engine Design, Power and Economy - Toyota for it reliablity and economy but Accord sure have better uummph!
After 5 years resell value - Toyota
Look like Camry won my heart here

They look sooo similar... gimmie a beemer anyday! At least a BMW has a more 'garang' look.
if only two choose , im more prefer camry ..
somemore wont buy from " Toyota Pandan Indah " ...
IMHO, the Camry looks the better among the two.
Dashboard layout is also much better than the cluttered-looking Accord, too bad it's missing the LCD screen though.

Just another Japanese marque.. no 50/50 chassis weight distribution, no rear wheel drive.. nothing to talk about.
If BMW never existed, I rather keep my 1995 Perdana 4-potter SEi. They are ALL THE SAME! They keep going thru cosmetic upgrade like changing shirt to stir demand. That's all! Never ending LCI..

This 3.5 Accord engine has VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) !!
Meaning, it can shut of some cylinders base on situation. When pick up, all 6 cylinders active, while on cruising, 2 is shut off, running only 4 cylinder. At times, it runs only on 3 cylinders with other 3, shut off!!! AMAZING!!!

There's another car maker with this technology. I can't remember which one?
Between the two, I definitely go for the Honda. I think it looks much better cos it's bolder, more canggih. I had the current Camry as a company car and my oh my, hated driving it, good thing it came with a driver. It's bland and uninspiring. The good thing though it was very comfortable at the back!

This 3.5L VTEC is available locally (one of the 3 variant introduced i.e. 2.0L, 2.4L & 3.5L) for RM249.
6 Cylinder in V-Formation, 24 Valve, SOHC i-VTEC with VCM
Compression Ratio 10.5 : 1,
Maximum Power [PS (kW) / rpm] 275 (202) / 6,200
Maximum Torque [Nm (kg-m) / rpm] 339 (34.6) / 5,000
Interesting technology money can buy..

Looks like Honda can be named as BMW of Japan for daring to commercialise technology while Toyota is probably the Mercedes of Japan, for being conservative and perhaps reliability aspect.. :D

The Japs are smart. They know they can't beat the Nazis when it comes to making a premium car drives and feels like a premium car. This is their answer to Camry. Not BMW.
