Its located in Glad Tidings Church within the PJ industrial area (near Jaya Supermarket), where CSA, Tan Chong, Panasonic, etc. is. The most straightforward way is to take the 12 o'clock at the Samad school roundabout (if you're coming from Eastin side), turn right at Tan Chong and keep going straight. There will be a dip and a left bend, and the Church is on your right. Its a brown / orange building with 2 white barrels outside. When you turn in, go downhill past the pondok and its on your left.

The main purpose of this detailing clinic is to introduce members to car care basics. We will be conducting a detailed presentation on procedures and techniques for car care basics as well product testing on your own cars.

For members who are already familiar/using Meguiar's products, feel free to bring them along as we can further advise you on the proper techniques to be used with each respective product. The will also be a Q &A session to address any issue or concerns about car care.

Two ways we can get there. Either from rothmans roundabout or from section 16 thru bulatan university.

Alvin, just a suggestion. Another location we can meet up is actually the new petronas/shell station opposite eastin hotel. Then from there we can turn right at the Eastin/Section 16 interchange. I'm alright with McD though

dun worry la...just cum. entry is first come first parked. Our comm are generous, will accomodate all serious UDM kakis.

some tips that I can remember. But better kevster to give la.. I think he will post the presentation slides as well.

1. Two pails used for washing car. One for plain water, the other with shampoo. Plain water used in between soaking to remove the grit stuck from car
2. Hot Wheels wheel cleaner - very acidic. After spraying, rinse off with shampoo immediately
3. Claying - it's like playdoh. Don't drop on the floor. Lube it with water or Quick detailer/speed detailer when you work on a small section. Wipe it with a good towel when done
4. Wash under the shade. Hot surface may give wierd chemical reaction to the shampoo and cause wierd stuff to your car
5. If lazy, don't want to wash car, just mist with Quick Detailer/Speed detailer. Then wipe with towel/mitt
6. Good morning towels/baby napkins - only good when new
7. Never use dishwasher detergent!!!!

That's all I can remember off-hand.
Oh ya, bring a nice girl in white t-shirt to wash your car. It helps!! Just kidding.

hi,

i havent gone thru the entire thread, but if anybody havent said this one, it IMOLA. at MRR2. using meguires. i send my car there all the time. washes in out are standard RM15. engine RM50. polish/buffer RM4xx. they can also remove watermarks on ur windshield for an extra cost. apply "stone chip" coating (they guy there said).... and so many other things.

if ur looking to become religiously involved with car care. they are having a 10 car per run (maybe a year) all out car care. 3 owners have already registered. balance 7 la. pay 1500, send your car the whole year... maybe 5 times... not really sure. but if polishing alone is 400 times 5 is 2k. an easy 500 saving.

the establishment has proper washing, vacuming, polishing areas. large compound (land not wax paste) so ur car is safe from traffic. theres a waiting lounge complete with "high-society" magazines, astro with remote controller, and Wifi. they dont serve coffee, but u can feast your eyes on their cute receptionist sitting just outside the glass lounge.

the detailer is a professional and will advice u on best options for caring for your car.

there's also one more shop in cheras, permaisuri, but using autoglym. a shoplot, so its a bit cramp. from what i was told, their prices would be half to that of Imola. never tried, but may consider going there to try one of these days.
